Green and White centerpieces
This past weekend I designed mock centerpieces for clients whose upcoming May nuptials are taking place at the beautiful Winvian resort in Litchfield county. It will be a green and white affair with charcoal grey accents featuring seasonal blooms in a natural style. The wedding will take place in a rustic barn on the property. I can not wait to see this wedding day come together, it's going to be gorgeous!

Green and White
This week I was asked to create an arrangement for a local garden club event. I was given a earthy looking basket made out of curly willow, I lined it with moss and filled it with all green and white foliage and blooms: Brake Fern, Argonis, Kale, Snapdragons and a few Anemones. Looks like something straight out of the forest!

White and Black Photoshoot
Today I made a bouquet and boutonniere for a photoshoot with Mike and Marcie Maler of Michael Maler Photography that is taking place tomorrow at a Haunted Opera House in Connecticut. The White and Black themed shoot will feature the 'bride' wearing a fabulous wedding dress with black caged veil. White Ranunculus, Anemone and Parrot Tulips are surrounded by feathery Agonis and Ferns with Black feather accents. Fun way to end the week!

Yellow and Grey Waveny House Wedding
I just received the gorgeous pictures from Carla Ten Eyck of a wedding the studio designed the florals for in September at the Waveny House in New Canaan. This wedding went down as one of my favorites of the season. The golden yellows and soft silvers against all the dark wood in the Waveny House created a glowing effect. It was the most amazingly perfect day in September for a wedding! Candice and the staff of Jubilee Events styled the affair and designed the gorgeous paper

Personal flowers included Ranunculus, feathers and herbs for the boutonnieres which were wrapped with fabric from the gowns. A mix of Peonies, Ranunculus, Kale, and herbs made for the bridal and bridesmaids' bou

Boutonniere Ideas
Photo Courtesy of Megan LaBarbera Many of my Brides are going more non traditional when it comes to their Groom's boutonniere. Seems as though the classic single Rose is a thing of the past. I've been incorporating more grasses, berries and details like seashells, feathers, twigs, etc. to spruce up the Groom's lapel. Here are a few of my favorite Boutonnieres from this past season... Backyard Wedding in Middle Haddam
This past weekend we designed a wedding for a backyard wedding held at a private home in Middle Haddam. The style was an organic rustic look in a variety of sunset shades.
