Yesterday the studio designed a wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club that was the epitome of pretty. Pale Pinks, Ivories and Peach flowers were arranged on top of the brides' cut glass cake stand collection. This time of year when the crazy wedding season slows down I like to take some time to reflect on the past season. 2010 was the busiest year yet for Blush, lots of hard work went into the season and I was really happy with all the studio accomplished and how much fun we had while doing it! This past weekend the studio created a white and green wedding in the Pavillion at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven. The Pavillion is an old building set right on the beach complete with a beautiful Carousel inside! A mix of Rectangle and Square tables were dressed in linen colored linens. Mercury Glass vessels lined the tables. Peonies, Garden Roses, Queen Anne's Lace , Maidenhair Fern and other seasonal flowers were featured in garden style arrangements. Sunset colors of

Last Friday my bride and groom hosted a surprise wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club! The guests thought they were attending an engagement party only to be greeted with the surprise of an actual wedding! The colors of the ceremony were kept clean and classic in whites and greens with a pop of color in the reception of shades of purple with small accents of bright red. Candice of Jubilee Events coordinated the evening.

This past Sunday the Blush crew set up a wedding held in a private club in downtown New Haven followed by reception at Union League Cafe. The bride feature shades of purples from antique to brighter shades. Roses, Lisiathus, Antiqued Hydrangea were some of the flowers used. The ceremony decor included lots of pomander balls made from Carnations with strings of White Dendrobium orchids hanging from the trees. Whimsical and Romantic!
