peaches and cream
Every season there is the one event that I wait all season to design, this year there has been many, but yesterday I created a mock centerpiece for an upcoming wedding I am designing with Candice of Jubilee Events that I simply cannot wait for. Here is a small sneak peak of the gorgeousness to come...

Take your Seat!
Placecard Table displays are usually one of the last details for brides to think about, but it is usually the first thing that your guests see when they arrive at your reception. Having a really stunning or visually interesting display can set the tone for the whole reception. Here are a few of my favorites: Whimsical Garden Themed Wedding at Eolia Mansion: Organic Backyard Wedding: Photos Courtesy of Megan LaBarbera Fall Inspired Wedding at the Redding Country Club: Seasid

4th of July Wedding Featured on Style Me Pretty Today!
A 4th of July wedding held at the Guilford Yacht Club we designed the flowers for was featured on the Style me Pretty Little Black Book Blog today! Lots of Purple Hydrangea, Orchids and Maiden Hair Fern was used with accents of succulents. The simple Chuppah was made of Birch Branches with floral sprays of Orchids and Ferns attached to the 2 corners. Beautiful photographs taken by Robert & Kathleen Photographers and event coordination by Jubilee Events. See the feature here!

Highlights from 2010 Season
This time of year when the crazy wedding season slows down I like to take some time to reflect on the past season. 2010 was the busiest year yet for Blush, lots of hard work went into the season and I was really happy with all the studio accomplished and how much fun we had while doing it! It's nice to look back at all the events months later to reopen my eyes to the styles, colors and flowers of each event all over again. Over the next few posts I will be highlighting some

Romantic Tropical Bouquet
Photos by Carla Ten Eyck For a recent photo shoot I was asked to make a Tropical Romantic bouquet in vivid sunset shades. Gloriosa Lilies, Dahlias, Ranunculus, Jasmine Vine, Nerines and Orchids created the perfect look!

Purple Fall Wedding at the Guilford Yacht CLub
Yesterday the team at Blush floral studio designed a wedding at the Guilford Yacht Club featuring rich shades of purples and chocolate browns. The centerpieces featured different shades of purples including Antiqued Hydrangea, Lisianthus, Calla Lilies, Geranium Leaf and Stock. The Chocolate Brown linens created a rich look perfect for Autumn!

June Wedding Featured on 100 Layer CakeToday!
The gorgeous wedding of Danielle and John which took place in June at Saybrook Point Inn was featured on 100 Layer Cake in the Real Weddings section. Danielle, the bride, had pulled her color palette board from their site when planning her wedding and we all used that to guide us throughout the planning.

Saybrook Point Inn Wedding!
Back in June I designed a wedding at the Old Saybrook Point Inn with a whimsical garden style theme. Lots of bright colors were incorporated from the brides fabulous shoes to the place settings to the flowers. It was all about fun! Peonies, Dahlias, Roses, Ferns and other fun elements were used to create a textural and whimsical feel. Black pedestal urns and ceramic containers were used for centerpieces. Photographed by the talented Carla Ten Eyck and coordinated by Candice

Wedding By the Sea
Today I delivered bouquets to a bride whose ceremony is being held at Water's Edge Resort in Westbrook. She requested Bluish Green Antiqued Hydrangea with accents of pink and Ivory. Pink Ranunculus, Garden Roses and Spray Roses completed the look.

Guilford Wedding--Sachem Head Yacht Club
This past Saturday's wedding held at the Sachem Head Yacht Club in Guilford featured pink and white flowers with a vintage garden feel. Silver Mercury Glass pedestal vases and votives were used along with Dahlias, Spray Roses, Greenery, Astilbe, Snowberries and other seasonal flowers. The bride and groom couldn't have gotten a more perfect day!!
