Vintage Blush and White Spring Wedding
Cameron and Josh were married last June at the beautiful Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown. We collaborated with the talented Jubilee Events on the design of this event. This wedding was the perfect combination of vintage charm and elegance. The bride collected over one hundred pieces of milk glass which we filled with spring blooms in shades of white and blush pink. They were scattered throughout the mansion on guests' tables, mantels, placecard tables, and other nooks and cra

Milk Glass Wedding at Wadsworth Mansion
This past Saturday we designed a pink and white wedding at Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown. Candice and her talented team at Jubilee Events coordinated the beautiful event. The bride and groom's milk glass collection was filled and scattered throughout the mansion and cocktail area. The stunningly simple cake (one of the prettiest I've seen) was made by Felicia's Sweetface Pastry Shoppe I only had time to snap a few pictures, but will post more of this gorgeous bride and

Green and White centerpieces
This past weekend I designed mock centerpieces for clients whose upcoming May nuptials are taking place at the beautiful Winvian resort in Litchfield county. It will be a green and white affair with charcoal grey accents featuring seasonal blooms in a natural style. The wedding will take place in a rustic barn on the property. I can not wait to see this wedding day come together, it's going to be gorgeous!

Green and White
This week I was asked to create an arrangement for a local garden club event. I was given a earthy looking basket made out of curly willow, I lined it with moss and filled it with all green and white foliage and blooms: Brake Fern, Argonis, Kale, Snapdragons and a few Anemones. Looks like something straight out of the forest!

White and Black Photoshoot
Today I made a bouquet and boutonniere for a photoshoot with Mike and Marcie Maler of Michael Maler Photography that is taking place tomorrow at a Haunted Opera House in Connecticut. The White and Black themed shoot will feature the 'bride' wearing a fabulous wedding dress with black caged veil. White Ranunculus, Anemone and Parrot Tulips are surrounded by feathery Agonis and Ferns with Black feather accents. Fun way to end the week!

Winter White Wedding
This post is a little overdue, but before the craziness of the holidays, Blush studio designed our last wedding of 2010. Winter whites and dusty blues were the color scheme of the simple and sophisticated event held at Lauralton Hall and the Society Room in Hartford. Personal flowers included Ranunculus, feathers and herbs for the boutonnieres which were wrapped with fabric from the gowns. A mix of Peonies, Ranunculus, Kale, and herbs made for the bridal and bridesmaids' bou

Winter Whites
As the weather gets colder outside winter white flowers with soft dusty blues and greys become a popular choice for the season. Here Patience Garden Roses, Cream Stock, White Ranunculus and Dusty Miller are arranged in a silver pedestal bowl...

A look back--May Day Wedding
Now that my wedding season is slowing down I've been taking the time to go through the professional photographs of weddings I've done throughout the season. I just went through the pictures of a May 1st wedding that had a May Day Theme complete with Maypole! This wedding is currently being featured on Martha Stewart Weddings site in the Real Weddings section. The Bride and Groom, Allie and Jacob, planned a beautiful blue and white themed Black Tie affair with the help of Cand

My Wedding!
This is a long overdue post but I have been so busy working on other people's weddings I forgot to post my own! The gorgeous photos to follow were taken by the talented Denise Cregier. Marco and I were married on July 24th at the Jonathan Edwards Winery in Stonington. I think it may have been the hottest day of the year with temperatures in the 90's!! A rain storm threatened to rain out the ceremony but the sun came out just in time for my coordinator and all the staff to p

Lighthouse Point Wedding
This past weekend the studio created a white and green wedding in the Pavillion at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven. The Pavillion is an old building set right on the beach complete with a beautiful Carousel inside! A mix of Rectangle and Square tables were dressed in linen colored linens. Mercury Glass vessels lined the tables. Peonies, Garden Roses, Queen Anne's Lace , Maidenhair Fern and other seasonal flowers were featured in garden style arrangements. Sunset colors of

This past weekend I met with one of my May clients to discuss the floral decor at her upcoming Hartford Club wedding and showed her a mock tablescape put together by myself and event coordinator Candice Dowling Coppola of Jubilee Events . Bridal Bouquets of 2009
As I have finally wrapped up my 2009 wedding season and the year is coming to a close, I have been organizing all my photos and wanted to share some of my favorite bouquets of the 2009 season... Photo Courtesy of Robert Norman Photo courtesy of Megan LaBarbera Photo courtesy of Maggie Conley

Boutonniere Ideas
Photo Courtesy of Megan LaBarbera Many of my Brides are going more non traditional when it comes to their Groom's boutonniere. Seems as though the classic single Rose is a thing of the past. I've been incorporating more grasses, berries and details like seashells, feathers, twigs, etc. to spruce up the Groom's lapel. Here are a few of my favorite Boutonnieres from this past season...
